To transform the culturally genuine neighborhood of the Nomar area into a vibrant, safe destination for authentic food, shopping, events, entertainment and fun. An indoor/outdoor market will become the community’s heart and soul, with area architecture, streetscapes and landscapes creating a cohesive international district known for its strong sense of place, walkable neighborhhoods and cultural experiences.

The major entry gateway will boldly frame the Nomar name and icon, which draws inspiration from the Spanish-revival Nomar Theater, built in 1928, the area’s icon and instantly recognizable landmark. Together with the arches and secondary markers, this signage defines the business district, encouraging development and investment.

The Nomar gateway and entry is designed to be a beacon and distinctive identifier for the neighborhood. The prominent landmark will greet both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, inviting visitors to enter and explore this authentic community.
